URX-MT Review: URX-MT Cardio Metabolic Interval Review

Update On My 24 Day Challenge:  Results as of day 20: almost ten pounds down...times ticking away!!! I will share my before and after photos next week :)

Last Weekend: Did these two cards at stamp club. I also did 2 others but ended up using them already! That never happens. Forgot to get a pic before I sent them out. One is stars & stripes and one is a get well card w/ a mini tissue box on it- super cute idea.

Today's Tip: Healthy Drink- Soy Milk
(105 calories, 4 g. fat per 8 ounces) Good choice if: You're lactose intolerant or lack protein in your diet. The original non-dairy beverage, soy milk contains more hunger-fighting protein than all other faux milks—about 7 grams per cup. While there's controversy on whether soy is a cancer promoter or fighter, new research comes down on the side of it being protective. Soy milk has its disadvantages, though. Non-digestible carbohydrates called oligosaccharides may cause stomach pain and gas in some people. As with other non-dairy milks, look for unsweetened brands fortified with calcium and vitamin D to keep your bones strong. Read more on Shape

Today's Review: URX-MT: Cardio Metabolic Interval
Gay Gasper, 2011 **** (3.5 of 5 stars)

Gay leads this 54 minute mostly cardio rebounding workout in a brick walled gym w/ 3 background exercisers. You will need 1-3 # sandweights and your Urban Rebounder. For the most part, you arent going on and off your UR in this w/o.



This workout is broken down into combos built add on style. Exercises include: power squats, bounce & jab, bunny hops, jacks, jogs, sprints, 180 hops, side leg lift bounce w/ a row, balance row, roll back on UR -jump up-jack on floor- repeat, tri pushups, pike heel taps, plank ham curls, plank jacks, weighted bridge , plank- side plank, and clam crunches. Gay includes a nice yoga-esque fast paced core routine in this one that I really enjoyed. 


I rate this a solid intermediate workout- one of the less intense in the set. Gay is a good instructor but probably my least favorite in the set. Both her workouts are lower intensity than I expected. So while it isnt as challenging as I think it should be it is a good little cardio workout for days when you want a solid intermediate rebounding workout. Gay includes a lot of the original UR bounces in this one.I received this dvd to review.
